School Menus & Student Nutrition

Find out what’s for breakfast and lunch today, plus learn more about our policies on student nutrition, including food allergies.

Breakfast

A free cold breakfast is available for each student every day from 7:00 a.m. to 7:50 a.m., provided by the Buffalo Public Schools Food Service Department.

Offered daily:

  • ½-pint of skim milk or 1% milk
  • Grades 9–12 may select two pieces of fruit
  • All bread items are whole wheat or whole grain

Lunch

A free or reduced-cost lunch is available for all families under the Community Eligibility Provision, also provided by the Buffalo Public Schools Food Service Department.

Offered daily:

  • Fun Lunch (yogurt, cheese stick, fruit, vegetable and whole-wheat or whole-grain bread)
  • Peanut butter and jelly (sun butter is offered for children with nut allergies)
  • Chef’s choice
  • All bread items are whole wheat or whole grain

Offered Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays:

  • Baby carrots

Offered Tuesdays and Thursdays:

  • Veggie crunchers (carrots, broccoli, tomatoes, snap peas, ranch dressing)
  • Hummus

Food Allergies

Elmwood Village Charter School is NOT a peanut-free school, but we endeavor to keep the classrooms peanut free. Parents and guardians are asked not to send any snacks to school containing nut products. Please be sure to inform the school nurse and your child’s teacher of any food allergies.
