Before-School Care and After-School Programs

Elmwood Village Charter Schools provide free before-school care and free-to-low-cost after-school care to our students.

Before-School Care

Students may arrive at EVCS as early as 7:00 a.m. and receive adult supervision in their classroom as a part of their normal school day. A free cold breakfast is available for each student every day from 7:00 a.m. to 7:50 a.m., provided by the Buffalo Public Schools Food Service Department.

After-School Programs

EVCS partners with Best Self Behavioral Health and the Boys & Girls Club of Buffalo to provide onsite after-school care until 5:30 p.m. as a convenience to parents and guardians of our students. (After 5:30 at EVCS Hertel, a small fee will be charged, as indicated in a message that went home to all participating families.) Spots in each program are limited, and are only available on a first-come, first-served basis. Families must complete a separate registration form for the after-school program, and a modest fee may be charged on a sliding scale.

    • Apply for a spot in the EVCS HERTEL after-school program: complete this EVCS HERTEL Afterschool Application 18-19. Programming information will be available at the all-parent meeting at EVCS Hertel, August 29th at 5:30 PM. This includes enrichment & vendors offered, program schedule, program calendar, and family handbook. Attendance at the all-parent meeting / orientation is strongly encouraged but not mandatory.
    • Apply for a spot in the EVCS Days Park after-school program: attend the August 9th registration event or call Days Park at 716-886-4581.
