Danielle Bruno

Director/Principal, EVCS Days Park

Danielle Bruno is Director of Elmwood Village Charter Schools’ Days Park campus. She is an accomplished and experienced school leader who has served in the field of education for 23 years. She has served as a classroom teacher, Gifted Education Specialist, Science Resource Teacher, Instructional Coach, and school administrator. Mrs. Bruno has taught graduate level courses in Gifted Education, and was recognized as Teacher of the Year by the Northern Virginia Council for Gifted Education. She was a founder of the Universal Pre-Kindergarten program in the Kenmore-Tonawanda school district, and has piloted early childhood and co-teaching programs with the University at Buffalo and the New York State Department of Education.

Mrs. Bruno earned a Bachelor’s degree in English and a Master’s degree in Elementary Education from the University at Buffalo, and a Master’s degree in Education Administration and Leadership from The George Washington University. She holds active certifications in Elementary Education, Gifted Education, and School Administration and Supervision.

Dave Phillips

Assistant Director, EVCS Days Park

Dave Phillips is Assistant Director of Elmwood Village Charter Schools’ Days Park campus. Mr. Phillips is an educator with many years of teaching experience at EVCS.

Kathy Jamil

Director/Principal, EVCS Hertel

Kathy Jamil is Director of Elmwood Village Charter Schools’ Hertel campus. She has fifteen years of experience as an administrator in both private and district public schools.  She holds a Masters in Educational Leadership and Supervision, and is certified as a NYS School Building Leader and NYS District Leader.  She is currently in the Educational Leadership and Policy doctoral program at D’Youville College and is a recipient of the National Just Communities Awards for Education. She has developed policies and training programs for multiple schools and non-profits locally and nationally, including school leader trainings. She has developed a middle school character education curriculum for public schools, and is a founder of two community-based non-profit organizations.

Anne Wechsler

Director of Curriculum and Instruction

Anne Wechsler holds a Master of Arts degree from Harvard University and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Stanford University. She is the Academic Program Coordinator and one of the founders of the Elmwood Village Charter Schools. Ms. Wechsler is certified in elementary education from kindergarten through grade six. She has worked in charter school development and served as a teacher in charter schools in Brooklyn, Boston, and Buffalo.

Anne Landrigan

Student Services Coordinator

Anne Landrigan holds a Master of Science in Education degree from SUNY College at Buffalo and a Bachelor of Science degree from Gannon University. She is certified in both elementary and special education. Mrs. Landrigan came to EVCS in 2006 with thirteen years of experience as a classroom teacher, resource teacher, consultant teacher, early intervention specialist, and coordinator of special education programs.

Liz Evans

Director of Operations

Liz Evans holds a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree from the University of Buffalo. She is a founder and parent of a graduate of Elmwood Village Charter Schools. Ms. Evans served on the EVCS Board of Trustees for six years, five of them as Chair. She has extensive experience in higher education and in the non-profit sector.
