We are advocating for an increase in funding for charter schools. The charter tuition formula provides funding for students at public charter schools at a rate deeply discounted compared to funding they would receive for attending district public schools. Even when transportation and other similar costs are accounted for, the charter tuition formula is not on par with district school funding. This funding disparity unfairly penalizes students who exercise their right to school choice.
