EVCS Hertel Campus to Open in Fall 2017

The SUNY Trustees have officially voted to approve the application for Elmwood Village Charter School #2 to open for instruction in 2017.

Known as “EVCS Hertel,” the school will replicate the programs and philosophies of the EVCS Days Park Campus, one of the highest performing elementary schools in the region. EVCS acquired the former Cardinal Dougherty High School at 665 Hertel Avenue, between Elmwood and Military. It will undergo a $2.5 million renovation and will open its doors to 150 K–2nd graders in September 2017.
